Like Riding a Bicycle 

I have to admit, I was a little nervous after not boating for 1 1/2 years but it all came back. It was a little chilly start but later in the day the sun came out and temp was in the lower 70s. Today the goal was to get to an anchorage at mile marker 277 (a distance of about 50 miles). We were traveling upriver against the current and our speed was approximately 7 mph. We passed through one lock (Heflin). I caught some nice reflections on these photos: 

We passed quite the pod of pelicans. I have no idea why so many were gathered here. 

We are boating again!! 

Hey you can only be a landlubber so long. Covid 19 got in the way of our original plans, so we are bringing the boat back from Demopolis to the mighty Ohio River to enjoy some boating this summer!! We plan to cast off on Saturday.
